8 Fun Games and Activities for a Wild West Party with Your Girls

|

Time to read 3 min

During the year we always try to throw a few theme party events. I have done a Wild West Party where we had a lot of actual western attire and decorations from a few of our leaders who owned a farm and had many wild west items at their disposal.

We created a fake campfire with a s ’mores maker in the middle so girls were able to actually make s ‘mores on campfire and had hay barrels for seats. We had our party in fall and it was pretty cold out, if your able to you could use a real fire to make s ’mores

We created a covered wagon by using a table and a lot of cardboard and tape. We used the covered wagon as the place to hold all the food and gifts to be stored. It also made for a great photo opportunity.

If you want to add scout cash to your event and instead of prizes during games you award scout cash here is How To Use Scout Cash With Your Troop

Sing A Song Around The Campfire

Home on the Range

Oh give me a home where the buffalo roam,
Where the deer and the antelope play,
Where seldom is heard a discouraging word,
And the skies are not cloudy all day.

Home, home on the range,
Where the deer and the antelope play,
Where seldom is heard a discouraging word,
And the skies are not cloudy all day.

Balloon Stampede

You will need a lot of balloons and you can fill them with prizes or if you do scout cash you could fill them with scout cash prizes. Put all the balloons all over the meeting area. Then on go have the girls run around popping the balloons taking the prize inside, just like a stampede.

Riding Horse Relay

This is a relay game and all you need is two broom sticks with a horse head on the end of each. Have a starting and ending line and on go the first person on each team rides the horse to end and back and hands off to next girl. First team to finish relay first wins. You can add cones or obstacles in middle to make it more interesting.
