Take a walk or hike

If you don’t normally take walks or hikes with your troop, make an exception in autumn. At this time of year, the landscape is stunning, and there’s a freshness in the air that’s absent at other times. Not only that, an autumn walk or hike is good exercise and improves your health for winter.

Some people like to choose a hill or mountain to ascend, this is an excellent idea because you challenge yourself and are rewarded with a wonderful vantage, but you can take an easy walk instead. Even local parks and lakes are lovely at this time of year.

It is also a great time of year to do one of the outdoor artist badges while out on the hike you can gather supplies to use on your art work. If you need ideas for the badges here are some great activities to get you started…

Getting Creative With Crafts and Activities

Have you noticed what a creative time of year autumn can be? For some reason, people feel the urge to get creative in their homes with DIY projects or enjoy making crafts with the kids. But, of course, don’t forget Halloween and all the fun costumes you can make.

How to Make a Fall Autumn Wreath with Leaves and a Paper Plate

Learn how to make a wreath with leaves and a paper plate with a few simple supplies. You can learn through directions and pictures and a short video at end of post showing how to do it. Let’s get started!

Learn How To Make

But costumes and DIY aren’t the only ways you can get creative in the autumn; try making some crosswords for solving as well. Use daily jumble solver to craft creative crosswords for your troop and keep their brains active. These are great additions to the beginning or end of your meeting.

Make pumpkins spice lattes

When pumpkin spice lattes start to appear in the coffee shops, you know that the autumn has arrived, and it will soon be time to go trick or treating. The trouble is that pumpkin spice lattes from the coffee shop are so expensive (and good), so why not make some at home.

It’s easier than you think to make a pumpkin spice latte. Once you have a taste for this delicious treat, you’ll make them all the time.

What you need:

  • some pumpkin spice syrup

  • some for your favorite milk

  • some cinnamon to sprinkle on top

Mike it all up and enjoy!

Visit a pumpkin patch

If you have never visited a pumpkin patch before, you’re in for a treat. Visiting a pumpkin patch in autumn has become more popular in recent years as more people desire fresh pumpkins for carving and cooking. The good news is that local patches are available.

A quick internet search should reveal a pumpkin patch near you that you can visit one weekend with your troop. Normally, these patches are busy at this time of year and put on events, so there is plenty of entertainment to enjoy as you select the best one that works for your troop.

Watch some scary movies

No autumn or Halloween is the same without some scary movies. You will notice that scary movies for all age groups are released at this time of year, but you don’t have to rely on the cinema. Instead, make a playlist of your favorite scary movies on your streaming service. You could do clips of scary movies
