Outdoor Art Expert Activity Booklet

This activity booklet was designed to fulfill the requirements for the Senior Outdoor Art Expert badge or can be used by frontier girl leaders to earn similar badges.

This badge will give you a chance to bring your art and the outdoors together to create something that is helpful to the environment. You will make some of your greatest art with the inspiration of nature, and design all kinds of different art pieces. You will make a number of creative outdoor themed pieces expressing your self from photography and painting to music and the best part you will have lots of fun doing it.

Activities Include:

1. Experience and learn more about art outdoors: Learn how to decoupage a journal and use that journal to explore nature.
2. Get creative and make art: Learn how to make a bookmark using pressed flowers and get involved in the rock kindness project.
3. Find and explore the sounds of nature: Have fun with a sound scavenger hunt and reinvent camping songs with new lyrics about nature.
4. Photograph nature: Have fun with a nature photography matching game and create a nature selfie triptych.
5. Using nature in your art: Learn all about mazes and labyrinths, try a few on paper and then have fun making your own live maze for others to walk through.
