Outdoor Art Apprentice Activity Booklet

This activity booklet was designed to fulfill the requirements for the Cadette Outdoor Art Apprentice badge or can be used by frontier girl leaders to earn similar badges. Great for teachers and home schooled kids as well.

This booklet will give you a chance to bring your art and the outdoors together to create something. You will make some of your greatest art with the inspiration of nature, and design all kinds of different art pieces. You will make a number of creative outdoor themed pieces expressing your self from photography and making your own music and the best part you will have lots of fun doing it.

Activities Include:

1. Experience and learn more about art outdoors: Play a game and learn more about a artist who uses leaves as her canvas and make a leaf masterpiece yourself.
2. Get creative and make art: create a nature masterpiece using pinecones and sticks to create a flower display for your home.
3. Find and explore the sounds of nature: as a group learn how to make sound effects from nature and record the masterpiece on your phone.
4. Photograph nature: create a 5 senses scavenger hunt and take turns doing each others hunts. Also a leadership opportunity with a younger group of girls.
5. Weather and Sun Art: learn all about barometers and how they can help predict weather by making your own and then make a sun catcher.
