France Fun Group Games and Activities

France Bingo Game

You may enjoy teaching your girls facts about France while playing a game of bingo. In this bingo game there are 24 different France facts your girls will learn about playing the game. When you draw a fact listed on the bingo cards you can also tell your girls a little bit about what each of them mean. After one game play again and have girls tell you what each fact means.

Escargot (snail)
A traditional hopscotch game that uses a spiral shape and only 1 foot. You need chalk and a flat playing surface like cement or blacktop. Draw a circle on pavement. There should be at least 10 squares, but it can be as large as you want. (The bigger the snail the harder it is to play) Start at the first outside square and number the squares consecutively, beginning with “1”. Label the center square home.

How to Play

The first player starts at box 1. The player hops on one 1 foot on each square around the entire spiral to the center then back. The player cannot switch feet, step on the line or step outside the box. If a player does, they lose a turn. If they make it out successfully, they can pick any square and put their initial in it. A player may rest on 2 feet in any square that has their own initials in it. The game is over when players can no longer make their way through the escargot.

Ball Scramble
A game similar to musical chairs. Kids line up on a baseline with a basketball for each kid. When you blow the whistle the kids drop their basketballs and run to the other end of the court and back to pick up their ball. While they are running you pick up 1 ball leaving the rest on the floor. The kid without a ball is out of the game. Play until only 1 player is left.

Quick Flag Fact SWAP Ideas

Print a picture of France Flag and on other side add some facts about the flag. Fold in half and glue paper together and hook to a safety pin and use some ribbon to connect flag to pin. All you need is a printer, scissors, hole puncher, beads, and safety pins to put together.

Note: SWAPS4Free no longer is available - but the picture and Idea are still useful
